Over on the Yoga Forum, people are coming together to share their experiences and practice. Feel free to join in and share your creative yoga sequence!
Hey hey hey! We're back with another week of the Creative Yoga Sequencing Project where we're stringing together a series of poses in any old way that makes sense to us and sharing them on instagram. I'm loving seeing how everyone else is implementing the poses into their flows! Check out #YBCsequence on instagram to see everyone's sequences.
This week we are working on:
Headstand - Supported headstand is one of my favorite poses. It's really energizing, and I always feels so good after I do it. I would say it's probably not appropriate for total beginners, but anyone else should feel free to try it (this video helps).
Wild thing - Another feel good pose! Wild thing is a fantastic chest and shoulder opener and I loved playing around in it below going between wild thing to wheel to downward dog and repeat. So fun.
High lunge - I have been working overtime on yoga retreat planning (click here to be notified when the schedule is ready) and all this sitting at the computer is doing a number on my hips. High lunge feels so good at the end of the day that I'll find myself in it as I'm cooking dinner just to get a little stretch. What? I never said I was normal.
My submission is below:
Headstand with bicycles and split, jump back to forearm plank into cobra. Downward dog to three legged dog to wild thing to wheel to three legged dog to split to three legged dog, roll through that wild thing sequence, to high lunge, side crow and start over. Whew!
In this video, I'm wearing lululemon wunder under capris and bra, shop the look below.
Let's talk What are some of your favorite flow sequences? Least favorite?
