Over on the Yoga Forum, people are coming together to share their experiences and practice. Feel free to join in and share your creative yoga sequence!
Wello (this is a typo that I refuse to fix - a cross between well and hello). So. Wello, Monday! It's been a great day already because I've made a serious dent in my 2015 retreat schedule (if you'd like to be notified when it's ready, click here). I can't wait to share the details!
This Monday marks the third week of the creative yoga sequencing project for all my instagram yoga people who want to step up their sequencing game. (Here's week 1 and week 2.) It's been a lot of fun checking out how other people are stringing together the poses with #YBCsequence and it's challenged me to step out of my comfort zone and as we all know, that's where the magic happens.
So let's get to it. This week we're incorporating the following poses, any old way, no rules, have fun.
Lizard Pose - This is a serious hip opener that people either love or loathe (I'm the latter, woof).
Baby Grasshopper Pose - Love this fun arm balance! I find that it's generally accessible to people of all levels, so make sure to watch the video on how to get into it and give it a try.
Ardha Uttanasana - This is such a nice pose for the hamstrings. We often flow through it in the vinyasa but it's nice to take a second and breathe in it for a few beats.
Below is my submission for this week.
My sequence:
Sundial pose into baby grasshopper, into ubhaya padangustasana, into firefly pose. Transition through crow and jump back vinyasa with arch uttanasana into lizard, chin stand variation, vinyasa. From here, come to sit down and start sundial on the other side.
Make sure to add yours and tag me (@yogabycandace) and use #YBCsequence so I can find you and you can find other participants.
Let's talk Do you normally practice yoga at home? If so, do you sequence your practice ahead of time or just go with the flow?
