If you've been reading my blog for a while, you may have noticed that any time I use beets, I try to mask their flavor. It's not accidental - I just don't really care for the taste. Usually I can minimize the flavor, but with this juice I was successful in completely eradicating it. You would have no idea this baby's got beets in it. Yay! It's a simple recipe of just cucumber, pineapple and beet, and an example of why sometimes less is more. These three little ingredients make the most refreshing and hydrating juice. Beets are a great way to cleanse the liver, too, so it is perfect first thing in the morning after a long night out.
Ingredients for Liver Cleansing Beet Juice
1 organic raw beet
1 cucumber
5 one inch cubes of fresh pineapple
Directions for Liver Cleansing Beet Juice
Put all of the ingredients in the juicer (I use this Breville Juicer), and juice 'em up. Tip: If you like your juice cold, keep everything in the fridge for a few hours before using.
