It's official. Los Angeles is the one place we have lived where we feel like we could settle in  (and we've moved thirteen times in the last seven years so that's really saying something). The weather can't be beat, the people are friendly, and healthy options abound. I wanted to share a few things I've really loved, in case you're ever in the area. 

The last time I was in Venice Beach was in high school. Our a cappella groups and jazz band had come to California for a national singing competition. (Oh, you didn't know I was in an a cappella group? Here are nine other things you may not know about me.)  One day on the trip, we went to Venice and they unleashed us rowdy teens (read: nerdy music geeks) onto the boardwalk with instructions to stay in groups. It felt like such freedom exploring the boardwalk, and it was a serious walk down memory lane this past weekend when Greg and I explored the area.
