2015 Year in Review

Wow I can't believe we're here again. I distinctly remember writing last year's recap from my kitchen in Germany and now here we are, another year under our belt. So much has happened in the last year and when you're a small, yet growing business, it's so fun to look back at all you've accomplished.

Sometimes I feel like a total faker. Here I am, a yoga teacher who has built a little business around yoga lifestyle but when stress creeps up, I flip out. Where is that inner calm I'm "supposed" to have? Do I just talk the talk but not walk the walk?

I think that no matter what your job - there are always aspects that rub you the wrong way. There isn't anything else in this world that I'd rather do than plug away at YBC, but it isn't always incense and fairy dust around here.

On My Plate is a series where I share what I'm eating as I follow a mostly GAPS diet to heal my stomach from longterm antibiotic use for Lyme Disease. Recently, I crossed the two year mark of the healing diet so I'm starting to veer off the diet just because it's not to stay on something so restrictive for so long.

A few weeks ago Lauren came into work with a bottle of champagne to toast to our newest project...

And I haven't had a drink in, oh, three or four years due to all the headache of the Lyme treatment aftermath but sometimes you have to let your hair down and sip some bubbly when you have good news.

And we have good news.

2 Year GAPS Diet Update

Two years ago, I started the GAPS diet (here's my 5 months update, 9 month update, 1 year update, and 1 year 6 months update). The diet is a healing, short-term (2 year max) diet that is meant to heal and seal the gut lining, improve digestion and therefore improve a number of other symptoms because many health issues stem from poor gut health.
