Good morning from Germany, my friends. I'm so pumped because this morning I finalized plans for a long weekend summer retreat and I cannot wait to share details. Look for them in early January, or click here to be notified early when the 2015 schedule is ready to rock and roll.
Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas, if you celebrate. I'll be taking tomorrow off but back on the 26th with new content. Thanks so much for your support. xo
Today we're talking about hollow backs. They're a recent favorite of mine because they feel so amazing. It really works the back muscles and offers a fantastic stretch across the front body as well. They work the core, when you begin pressing the legs up and down, and overall they just make me feel so good. The trick here to keep pushing the forearms into the ground so the weight doesn't collapse into the shoulders. We want the shoulder area to stay engaged and the armpits long.
You want to come into it starting in forearm stand and then slowly bring the feet towards the ground and the hips past your head as shown above. Bringing the hips past the head is going to feel weird. Really weird. But play around, say yes and see what happens.
