A couple weeks ago I went to the Cayman Islands for a long weekend to relax, recharge, and get geared up for some major work travel. I didn’t do much there - read, went out to eat, worked out and filmed some yoga vids for the YBC® App and the blog. It was a perfect weekend.
On repeat was this olive romper. I got it after I realized the Reformation short sleeve linen version I had didn’t fit me (it’s a size Small but is more like a small-medium - find it on my poshmark account - I’m @shopybc). It was the easiest thing to throw on over a bathing suit, or bralette, and go about the day.
I wore it here with my neon bag which I bought off The RealReal. My mom used to own a consignment shop, so resale shops are near and dear to my heart and I like supporting them when I can. This bag is one of my favorites for spring and summer because of its bright color (I found it in pink, an awesome red/orange, and silver) , and the top handle offers another way to carry it, although most of the time I wear it across the body.
The sunglasses were a great find from Gilt - I’d tried a near-exact pair in-store but they were insanely priced ($650!), so when I found them for $99 on Gilt, I was psyched. They’re sold out now, but I found a similar pair by the same brand for $150 or a dupe look by Quay for less.
The shoes were Hermes Oran flats I’ve dreamed about for years and finally treated myself to a few months ago. They tore my feet apart at first, but now are broken in, thankfully. I’d size down 1/2 size - I’m normally a 7.5, but I took a 37. If you keep an eye on resale sites, you can usually get them for far less than retail in pre-loved condition. Here’s an awesome neon pair, and a red pair that’d look great with a tan, and here’s a look for less.
I love easy, no-brainer outfits like this where you feel comfortable and put together. It’ll be one of my go-to outfits as soon as the warmer weather hits Connecticut!
