A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of staying at Four Seasons Westlake, where I stayed in a gorgeous oversized room which made for the perfect set to shoot a morning yoga video. I love doing yoga in unconventional places and the bed actually makes a great prop to get deep into the hips and chest. This short video would be the perfect start or end to the day, and is especially good to do while traveling because you don't need a mat or anything - just a bed. It starts with a centering and then moves in gentle stretches for the neck, upper back and hamstrings. From there we get off the bed and use it as a prop for poses like pigeon and then a good chest and shoulder opener. Then we begin to wind it down and take a five minute savasana. I hope you enjoy it, especially with the holidays coming up, which I know can be so stressful. (If you're looking for a more concrete way to tackle stress, we put together this yoga/fitness/mindfulness program.) Let me know your thoughts and any requests down in the comment section below!
