My friend Emily and I had been talking about taking a girls’ trip for the longest time and finally, last month, we pulled the trigger. She’d been to Turks and Caicos the previous year and suggested it. As I’d never been, and since I wanted somewhere that was easy to get to from Connecticut, I agreed.
We rented a beautiful house off VRBO that was close to the airport and the beach and had all the comforts of home.
I bought Chomps and Vital Proteins and protein powder packets to help keep the protein intake up.
I finished Tomorrow There Will Be Sun in a literal day - great vacation read. I started Forever, Interrupted and got halfway through it in a day.
I also brought Brad’s Veggie Flats, which were decent.
View in was gorgeous!
We didn’t do a whole lot and that’s honestly how I like my vacations. So if you’re here looking for recs, I really don’t have many. We went to a cute place called Lemon 2 Go for a coffee before getting our COVID tests, and we did a little shopping on that main drag. We went to Da Conch Shack and the curry I had was great. But other than that, we just stayed at home at the pool (here’s my jumpsuit I’m wearing above) or hit the beach. It was the perfect long weekend to do a little work and a little play and I am so thankful I got the opportunity to come.
Our house came w so many great amenities including bikes so we could pedal around town. I’ll update the link with the house once I leave. (Here’s my beach tote.)
