Best Hair Care Products and Tools of 2023
Ok below is my hair care routine:
Money Mask - This mask is fantastic. I use it once a week and it makes your hair glossy and glassy, I love it.
Shampoo, Conditioner and Number 3 - I shampoo and condition every 2 days, and use the Number 3 every third shampoo or so (so about once a week or so). The Number 3 really makes a difference, but you do need to leave it in for at least 10 minutes. So I’ll usually do a quick rinse after the gym one day, shampoo and then put the Number 3 product in, get out, and fold laundry, etc, and then get back in the shower to rinse it out, and then shampoo and condition again.
Number 9 and Dream Coat - If I’m going to blow dry, I use these. They both make my hair so smooth and silky and glossy looking. Number 9 requires JUST A LITTLE (you have been warned!) and can be used for smoothing when you’re going to blow dry, and nice texture when you’re going to air dry. The Dream Coat is heat activated, so don’t even bother using it unless you’re going to blow dry your hair. (And for a blow dryer, I use this styler which I’ve had for years and love it - well worth the money, although it is pricey).
Air Dry Foam and Mousse and Wave Spray - If I’m not going to blow dry, and want to let it air dry with waves, I’ll use the Air Dry Foam from mid-shaft down to the tips, and I’ll use the Southern Belle Mousse on the roots for good volume. Once the hair is about halfway dry, I’ll spray the Wave Spray liberally into it for better wave definition.
Texturizing Spray- After my hair air dries, I’ll use the Texturing Spray all over the hair for more definition.
T3 curler - If you’re looking to curl your hair, I have this that I bought during the sale a few years ago and love it.
Best Make Up and Skin Care Recs for 2023
Face Prep: I had my make up done for a party last week, and I guess I always knew skin prep was important, but man it made such a difference. The make up artist used:
Glow Pads - She swiped one all over my face prior to moisturizer.
Moisturizer - This was such a nice hydrating moisturizer.
Make Up
I go between the Make Up By Mario foundation and the Haus Labs foundation. Both are beautiful and buildable. The MUBM foundation has more luminescence which I think is so so pretty, but Haus Labs is also beautiful. Both have a dewy finish which I like a lot.
I use the Make Up By Mario contour stick to contour, the tried and true NARS concealer, and this holy grail bronzer everyone loves.
I set the under eye and T zone area with this pink powder, and use this finishing spray.
Current favorite blushes are this for more of a bold look, and this for an every day light look with a little shimmer.
This mascara is hands down the best mascara ever. It goes on beautifully, is buildable if you want a thick lash look, or you can do one swipe for more of a natural look.
I use this liner on the water line and lash line, and this is my favorite brow pencil because the tip is thin so you can pencil in realistic looking brow hair. I like to set my brows with this.
Scent
I wear this every day and am absolutely obsessed. It is moody and earthy and intoxicating in the best way. It is pricey though, and another one I love by them is this one - also moody and dark and dreamy.
