I hesitated talking about a sale in the middle of a pandemic, when many of us are struggling. I didn’t want to come across as insensitive or tone deaf. At the same time, many have been telling me on Instagram, when I take polls and ask for the content they’d like to see, that more beauty content would be welcomed and that they like some of the more “light” content when everything feels so surreal right now. So, with that said, here we go.
You all know I am into make up, and lately have been experimenting with different hair looks, as documented in the above. (Side note: Here is the curly hair tutorial I did for these curls.) With Sephora’s super sale kicking off this month, I wanted to share some of my favorite picks and a few things I have my eye on, in case you were in the market. I generally like to stock up on my favorite items during the sales because I know I’ll use them, and I’ll save money in the long run by buying them ahead of time.
The Sephora sale has different tiers of savings. It is open to Rouge members today who can save 20% off their entire purchase with code SPRINGSAVE, valid from April 17 to May 1. For VIB members, shoppers who spent at least $350 last year, the sale will run from Tuesday, April 21, through Wednesday, April 29, and with code SPRINGSAVE, you’ll get 15% off all orders. And for Insiders, anyone who signs up for their loyalty program, the savings run from Thursday, April 23, through Monday, April 27, with an offer of 10% off all orders with code SPRINGSAVE.
Christophe Robin Purifying Scalp Scrub, $19 - 53- This stuff is so great for my scalp! I have a little eczema on the base of my scalp and this have been helping tremendously.
Christophe Robin Thickening Shampoo Paste for Men, $53 - I got this for my boyfriend for Christmas this past year and he really liked it.
Air Dry Foam, $28 - If you follow my instagram stories, you know how much I love this stuff. I love this stuff for days when I don’t feel like blow drying (which is more often than not!)
Wave Spray, $12 - For beachy curls, spray generously into hair that is about 60% dry. Let it air dry or blow dry with a diffuser.
Hydrating Hair Balm, $29 - Put a dime size amount in damp hair, work through with your fingers, and it keeps hair shiny, soft, and bouncy. I love using this in the summer.
Angled Brush, $18 - I use a damp angled brush with brown eyeshadow on my top lid, close to the lash line, for fuller looking lashes.
Bronzer / Blush Duo, $42 - This is a great duo I’ve had for ages. You need so little, this will last you forever. I love that both are buildable, so you can keep it soft or go heavier.
Coola Self Tanner, $42 - This organic tanner is so good! I use it every other day in the winter when I just feel like I want a little color.
NuFace Mini Device, $179 on sale! - My friend gave me this for Christmas, and it’s a lot like gua sha. It sort of lifts and tones your facial muscles with microcurrent. The only thing is you have to do it frequently in order to see results.
Dyson Air Wrap, $549 - The thing everyone raves about. Not sure I will pull the trigger this time around, but if it’s in the budget, I know so many people who love it!
Lash Curler, $22 - I haven’t used a lash curler in years because I’ve had extensions, but I may buy this during the sale, because my lash extensions are long gone. Everyone raves about this brand in particular!
Naked Palette, $54 - I am all about neutral eyes, and I have the first and second edition of the Naked Palette, and this one looks ah-mazing. These palettes have lasted me literal years!
Would love to hear if you have a favorite product!
