I love connecting with you guys on social media! I usually answer DMs right on Instagram, but I've had so much on my plate and sometimes it's just easier to sit at a computer than type on the phone, so here we go! Feel free to DM any questions you have and I'll try to get to them either here on or on IG.
Q. Hilarious but necessary question because I'm in a heated debate. So. You're stuck, let's say in an airport and you're HANGRY. Like, might faint hangry. Your only options are fast food, but there is every major fast food place you could possibly think of to eat. What do you choose? My answer - Chick-Fil-A, because it at least looks like real chicken in stead of a milder slurry of "chicken" and there's skin on the potatoes. Aaaaand go.
A. Haha, ok. Well I'm somewhat embarrassed to admit I've never had Chick-Fil-A so I don't know what the deal is with it. So here's my thinking process. If I am gonna-murder-someone-HANGRY, and there is nothing I would typically eat around me, then I'm eating to just deal with the hanger, not eating to worry about micronutrients nor macronutrients, which is usually what I go for. If I'm that hungry, then that means I probably haven't eaten in a while so I want something as filling as possible, but also, I never eat fast food, so I know my stomach is going to be a mess after I eat whatever fast food I decide to put in my body so I'd try to pick something that is as close to what I'd eat at home as possible. Does Wendy's still do baked potatoes? I'd probably get a baked potato. It'd for sure not be organic, which means the pesticides might irritate my stomach, but at least it's sort of real food (despite the fact that it's probably made in a microwave and not actually baked). Is Sbarro considered fast food? I feel like it's very hard to mess up pizza - it's just bread and cheese and tomato sauce. I eat all those things at home, so that would be my thinking. Is Subway fast food? I might look and see if they have a grilled chicken option. Basically, I would probably avoid anything deep fried because I know canola oil really screws me up, and try to find something as close to real, actual food as possible. Salads are available at some fast food restaurants, I know, but for some reason, when I am really, really hungry - like stomach pain hungry, salads make my stomach hurt worse. In thinking about it, I guess it makes sense because raw food is harder to digest. And plus I can't imagine any fast foods would have organic ingredients, which means pesticides were involved which hurt my stomach. So I wouldn't do a salad for that reason, and the fact that it wouldn't fill me up at all. Anyway, that's my thought process!
Q. What kind of bands to you use for exercise?
A. I have these. And stay tuned because I just filmed a video on various ways you can use bands in the yoga practice.
Q. What album are you obsessed with right now?
A. Not an actual album, but here are the songs I have on repeat right now for working out:
