Motivation Monday is a weekly series on YBC® where we'll unveil that week's podcast episode of Namaslay with YogaByCandace®, a few inspirational uplifting or interesting bits from around the web, and new books, finds and other goodies our team is loving.
My bags are packed and I'm off to LA today for a few days of workshops at YouTube's HQ. I'm really excited about meeting other content creators, networking, and learning all that I can to improve our YouTube channel. While a part of me is a little bummed to be traveling yet again, this is a project I am pretty excited about. Plus, Thanksgiving is a few weeks away and I've got scheduled time off so I can relax and recharge.
Speaking of travel, on my last red-eye flight returning from Vancouver, I found myself searching for some soothing sounds to help relax and came across something similar to a sound bath, which we’ll dive deep into on today’s Namaslay® with YogaByCandace® podcast. Sound therapy is growing in popularity here in Western society and uses tuned deep vibrational instruments to realign different frequencies that naturally occur in the body to help relieve stress and anxiety. If you’ve had any experiences with or exposure to sound baths or music therapy, comment below and let me know!
Namaslay® with YogaByCandace® Season 3, Episode 4: In this episode of Namaslay with YogaByCandace®, I’m talking to Namaslay® Tennessee Yoga Teacher Training graduate and music therapist Jenelle Bleiler about sound therapy and the science behind it. What is it? How does it work? Who can benefit from it? Where can you find it? And how can you become certified? If you suffer from mild depression, anxiety, stress or tension and pain, sound therapy may provide psychological and physiological benefits and healing for you. As always, thanks for tuning in! This podcast is available on iTunes, Google Play, Google Podcasts, Spotify and pretty much anywhere you listen to podcasts. Or, you can also listen here. And if you have a second, would you mind taking this survey? We just want to get some demographics about who's listening to the podcast. Thanks!
Plus:
I just started reading this book and it's got a pretty interesting plot!
At my training last weekend, I noticed some Beyond Yoga gear in the studio's boutique that was SO soft and it enticed me to take a closer look at the brand I'd always loved but whose clothes I felt were beautiful but not functional. I think they've made big improvements, and these are at the top of my list along with this.
