Last week, I shared part one of my Costa Rica adventure, and this week, I'm sharing part two. As I mentioned in the first post, the purpose of the trip was to scout a few spots to hold a yoga retreat in the future.
For the second portion of the trip, I visited Reserva Conchal. Reserva Conchal is located on 2,300 acres of land, which makes it feel like you're in a secluded slice of paradise. There's a 96 acre refuge right on the property that you can tour. I saw monkeys, bugs, pizotes, and more. You really feel like you're in another world.
What I loved about this resort was the fact that it is so secluded yet it has so much to offer. There's a gorgeous white sand beach, and a beautiful pool down by the beach club.
Also at the beach club is a beautiful restaurant, a wonderful spa which offers massage, facials and a great gym and quiet outdoor lounge area.
The cool thing about Reserva Conchal is that it's not a typical hotel at all. They don't do rooms. Instead, they rent condos, which I think would be really cool for a yoga retreat. The condos are beautiful - gorgeous marble throughout, granite counter tops, a/c throughout (a rarity in vacation homes in Costa Rica!), and comfortable rooms. It really feels like a home, and I think if I were to do a retreat there, I'd rent out maybe three or four condos next to each other, and we'd be one big group. I'm really excited about the possibility of hosting a retreat there!
