Book Tour
We are going to announce to book tour details for Namaslay this week, so stay tuned! But! I need your help. We are looking for a space to hold a two hour workshop in Boston and in San Francisco. If you have a studio space or any space that might be appropriate for a yoga workshop (an art gallery, fitness center, warehouse, photo studio, dance studio, etc), please let us know by emailing jan at yogabycandace dot com.
Influencers/Guest Bloggers Wanted
Speaking of needing your help, we are looking for bloggers and social media influencers to help us out with future projects like reviewing our Mantra Box®, Namaslay, and potentially writing guest posts for us in the future. We are looking for people who create beautiful content, who publish consistently, who write well, and whose audience cares about health, wellness, and fitness. We also are looking to add another team member to YBC. If you're interested, please fill out this form.
Workshops and Retreats
We have a number of Namaslay® workshops planned over the course of the next two months in coordination with our book tour, and we also have an arm balance workshop planned in the greater NYC area in mid-November.
In addition, we have two retreats coming up - a long weekend in Miami in November and a luxe, week-long safari yoga retreat in Kenya next summer!
Traveling Lately
A few weeks back, I headed down to NYC for a meeting with a talent agent and to get my hurr did.
I love Krystal at Antonio Prieto Salon. She does the most amazing color, can cut like none other, and just has great energy. She really listens to what you want, and I always leave her chair feeling like a million bucks. I discovered two new food hot spots that I'm really into and thought I'd share here. The first is Cafeteria. I went there for a breakfast meeting and it's so beautiful. Filled with natural light, this place just feels so welcoming. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The second spot I found that was wonderful was The Little Beet. It's a Paleo-friendly "fast food" place. Equally awesome ambiance with super high ceilings, and incredibly friendly staff.
Most recently, Lauren and I traveled to Baltimore to lead a workshop and to attend Expo East - the biggest natural products expo in the country. It was fantastic to meet some #YBCyogis in real life at the Best of Both Worlds workshop!
New Product Loves
My friends at Lola sent me a couple boxes of organic cotton tampons and I am not going to lie, I was skeptical at first. I am a jeans snob, and I am a tampon snob. There are certain jeans I just love, and would rather stay loyal to the brand than try another brand because they fit well, they're extremely well made, and they never let me down. Same with tampons. I was a tampax girl for years. Nothing else worked as well, was as well made, nor as reliable....until I tried Lola. Now, in full disclosure, I only tried Lola because I think it's disgusting that the cotton used in conventional tampons is sprayed with Round Up and other toxic pesticides. Our bodies absorb what we put on it (and in it!), so if there is an pesticide-free version of a tampon that worked just as well as my go-to brand, then I wanted to give it a try. I'm happy to report that after months of using Lola, I am a convert. The applicator is excellent, the product is well made, and above all, reliable. So, yeah. I'm into them and wanted to share the find with you.
My friends at PopSugar sent me their #MustHaveBox. In it, was a number of awesome goodies like this hair mask I can't wait to try and The Gluten Free Bites which are great for on the go, as well as this Jack and Lucy Bicostal Wide Brim Hat.
