YBC® Arm Balance Workshop - Short Hills, NJ - November 19, 2016


This two hour arm balance yoga workshop is for people who have taken at least ten yoga classes and know the basics (downward facing dog, warrior 1 and 2, dolphin pose). You do not need to know how to do any arm balances prior to coming to this class! We will start with a centering and a warm up. We will fire up the core and work on upper body strength with a short, creatively sequenced vinyasa class. Then, we will take a look at the following arm balances: 

  • crow pose
  • side crow pose
  • tripod headstand
  • supported headstand
  • forearm stand
  • handstand

The focus will be the strength building and learning the foundations for each pose so that even if you aren't 100% ready to come into the full expression of each pose, you'll have the tools to do so when you are ready. 

Come with a notebook if you'd like to jot down notes or ideas about things you learn, a great attitude, and your copy of Namaslay if you'd like Candace to sign it.

Time: 11:30am - 1:30pm (Please arrive 15 minutes early so you can sign the waiver at the front desk and have some time to settle in.)

Note: Yoga mats and props are available, but if you have your own that you love, bring them. Locker rooms with showers and saunas are also available.
