Between our retreats, the book, the YBC Mantra Box, and so much more - it's safe to say we have a lot going on. In the Office is a series that discusses what's going on at YBC in detail.
Current Projects
YBC Mantra Box - The fall Mantra Box™ will ship November 30, 2016 and it's available to pre-order now! We have already lined up some incredible products for the box, and I can't wait to hear what you guys think!
Namaslay - So, just yesterday I turned in the book after its first full edit. I still cannot believe Namaslay is really happening. RIght now, we're working on the details of the book tour and will be announcing it soon along with RSVP links so hopefully I don't show up and hear crickets, haha. Right now, the book is available for pre-order on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and, for my people who love to shop small, at an independent bookseller near you.
Upcoming Workshops - We have scheduled a Core of the Matter workshop in Short Hills, New Jersey (about 30 mins outside of Manhattan) and that'll take place in August. We have also added spots to our Baltimore workshop in September. Sign up now!
YogaByCandace Official App - The YBC app is thriving! It's got a fun instagram-like feature where the YBC Community is sharing photos and chatting, and the yoga videos there are well organized. You can also opt-in to our subscription based membership for exclusive content every week. The app is available for iOS and google play, and if you screenshot your review of the app to Lauren, you'll get a free gift.
Using Lately
This adorable mug arrived at my doorstep from Belle and Bell, a company I love for their empowering messaging. Use code YOGABYCANDACE for a 15% discount.
They also sent this awesome chalk to the hand muscle tank which I'll be rockin' at the gym. Use code YOGABYCANDACE for 15% discount.
Rocksbox - Rocksbox is such a great service. If you're new here, it's a jewelry subscription box service. You go online, create an account, take a quiz so they can capture your style, and they send you three pieces. When you're ready, you can return the pieces, or keep one or more at a discounted price. I love that they don't have rules about how long you can keep the pieces, so if you have a special event to go to like a wedding, you could order your box and request certain pieces, wear them to the wedding and then return or keep them. I think of it like a Rent the Runway but for jewelry. There hasn't been one box that I've been disappointed with. You can use code YOGABYCANDACExoxo for a free box.
Today I'm wearing an old pair of F21 leggings (they were like $4 - similar here and here), an Urban Outfitters top, my favorite Free People necklace (similar), and ballet flats (similar).
On the Snap
Lauren was working on installing a yoga trapeze yesterday! She always cracks me up - looking at her, you wouldn't think she's know how to install a trapeze, but she is actually the most handy person I know after my dad. She has built a headboard for me (tutorial here), and put together Madison's desk! I'm so inspired by her! Shop her look below.
Madison is the absolute best at taking calls. Lauren and I will take them, but no one speaks like Madison! She doesn't have any weird inflections in her voice, speaks with so much confidence, and has a great sounding voice. I know that probably sounds weird, but whenever I listen to someone who speaks well, I always try to take mental notes. Shop her look below
Just combining a little karaoke and make up application - always a solid win in my book! I've been loving the PlayOn Lip Crayons from Jane Iredale. This one was called charming, which is the perfect summer pink.
For eyes, I used the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette and created a little graphic above showing what I used. I did Bootcall all over the lid, then ran Chopper through the crease, and did a combo of YDK and Busted in the outside corners, and finished the Verve on the inner corners. Then, just to pop out the eyes a bit more, I ran Chopper and RDK immediately under my lower lash line and kind of smoked it out. Then I finished with Pacifica liner.
Let me know: I want to share things on snapchat that are helpful or entertaining for you, so if there's something specific you want to see, just let me know and I'll do my best to get it on there for ya!
Let's talk: How's your work life going? What are you looking forward to? What's the best part of working where you work? Any new finds lately?
