We're back with another On My Plate, where I share a few yummy dishes from the last month or so. This time around I asked Lauren if she had any recent favorites to share, since she was sitting across from me while I put this post together. Between the two of us, I hope you'll find some inspiration for meals and snacks if you're finding yourself in a rut.
You all probably know that this is my go-to post workout shake. I use a few ice cubes, about 1/4 cup raw milk, protein powder, l-glutamine, maca powder and soy-free chocolate chips.
Lauren had some bangin' carne asada tacos the other day and snapped a pic to show me.
While in New York a few weeks back, I met a dear friend at David Burke Kitchen, where I had duck (my favorite).
Belicious is a company I recently discovered, who sent me a variety of their blends. Belicious is made with 100% organic fruits, veggies, whole grains and legumes and so they make the perfect healthy snack between meals.
PS - I know people get kind of weird about snacking - like some people think that it's not healthy to snack throughout the day, but I honestly feel like it keeps my metabolism going and so long as I'm eating healthy snacks I always stay energized. Use code Spring30 for 30% off your 1st purchase. Expiration is June 21st.
You know I live for a good broth, and while in Costa Rica the other night I had this seafood soup as an appetizer. The broth was light and nourishing and delicious.
The other day at lunch in Costa Rica I put together a little DIY taco situation from the buffet of the hotel where we were staying.
This is an incredible dish I had a few weeks ago: scallops with a chilled quinoa salad.
Skirt steak with chimichurri sauce, veggies and mashed potatoes.
And lastly, here's a typical lunch at my place: sweet potatoes, blanched asparagus, sauerkraut and a turkey burger.
I'd love to know what you've been eating lately! Stumbled upon any particularly good meals? Let me know down in the comments below!
