*UPDATE 10/22/14 - There are three spaces left in the "twin rooms" (see below). Book now!!
If you're feeling stressed out and need a little break from real life, I've got just the thing! I've been working so hard on this for the past few weeks and I've got all the details ironed out and am excited to share this awesome opportunity with you.
Background
I chose Costa Rica because I participated in a study abroad program there when I was 16 and it's such a special place to me. I lived with a family, went to school there, and made lifelong friends. I've returned about 7 or 8 times since and it's one of my favorite places in the world. I wanted to share the beauty of the culture and land with you during this week.
The Plan
I've secured a stunning house 15 minutes from the beach, and it has breathtaking views, an infinity pool, and the perfect covered patio for our yoga sessions. I've done a ton of research and consulted with a number of locals to create the best deal for the type of retreat I wanted to offer - an upscale and relaxing week, with a little adventure. This 5 night yoga retreat includes: transportation to/from our villa (to/from Liberia airport), 10 yoga classes, 4 meditation and pranayama classes, a two hour surf lesson including all equipment and transportation, all breakfasts and dinners, a welcome swag bag, and a special something for the first three people who pay in full - read on for that or reserve your spot now!

Things to know
-I like my retreats to be super relaxed. All yoga classes and retreat activities are up to you - do all or nothing. Feel like sleeping in? Sleep in! Don't want to come to a particular class? No problem! Do whatever you need to do to feel good.
-The yoga program is appropriate for all levels. Truly, everyone is welcome from the total beginner to the seasoned yogi. I will tailor the classes to ensure everyone's needs are met. You can get a feel for my teaching style on my yoga YouTube channel.
-If you'd like to explore the area, or would like me to help you book tours (I have connections in the area, and would be happy to help! I recommend zip lining through the jungle! It's an absolute must!) that can be arranged, but it is recommended (i.e.: more cost effective) to rent a car. I can help arrange car rental and perhaps you could even split it with another student if you're on a budget.
-You'll need to budget for your lunches. There are many restaurants in town (15 min away by car) and an average lunch goes for between $4.00 - $10.00.
-Should you decide to rent a car, it is recommend to rent a 4x4 to navigate Costa Rica's roads.
-We'll have a massage therapist on hand if you'd like to book an appointment.
-Any food allergies or preferences can be accommodated, we just need to know in advance.
-United States citizens do not need a visa to visit Costa Rica.
Terms and Conditions
-No reimbursement will be granted in case of early departure.
-We accept no liability for loss, damage, injury or illness, which may occur during the retreat or traveling to or from the retreat. All students are strongly recommended to have their own travel insurance to cover any loss or injury, including repatriation if necessary. It is advisable to take out travel insurance in the event that you have to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances.
-We reserve the right to make any changes to our program, courses or teachers. Alternative arrangements are offered to the best of our ability but if not taken up, we do not accept responsibility for any costs incurred, including airfare.
-Students who have chosen a single room will not quality for any discount regardless of whether another students happens to be alone in a 'shared' room.
-We take every step to ensure that students are not stretched beyond the limit of their capabilities. We ask that you speak up if you have any particular pre-existing injury or illness that is relevant. We advise that you always listen to your body, and if you are feeling any pain or illness during the class that you stop and rest.
A final word
Retreats are an opportunity to give yourself a break from the real world. You can expect a week of rest, relaxation, and good company with likeminded people. I will be there not only to lead the yoga classes, but to ensure everything runs smoothly, and assist in making any spa appointments, tours, or offering recommendations for the best place to get a great coffee or watch the sun set. ;) With regards to the yoga, the biggest thing to me is that people feel no pressure. There are no egos or expectations. My only expectation of students is that when they choose to come to a class they pay attention to how they feel. When you need a break, take a break. When you want to push yourself, push yourself. For me, the most important thing is that it is a stress-free and safe environment for all to thrive. I'd love to welcome you there!
