This post is sponsored by Reserva Conchal, a resort of residences in Playa Conchal, Costa Rica. The hotel generously hosted me for one night. All opinions, as always, are my own.
Hey friends! I'm writing from Costa Rica, where we're just about to finish up our retreat. It's been an incredible experience, and I can't wait to share more soon.
Costa Rica Trip
It's been years since I've been to Costa Rica, but my trip back has been great.
I arrived in Costa Rica one day before my retreat was to begin. I waited for my friend and chef Alejandra to meet me at the car rental place and we set off for Reserva Conchal.
Reserva Conchal is in Playa Conchal, a stunning white sand beach that's about as secluded as you can get. The resort shares land with The Westin, and together they have a golf course, a variety of restaurants, a spa and fitness center and a few pools.
The Residences of Reserva Conchal
What I like about Reserva Conchal is that they only offer residences. That is, if you're one of those people who likes to have a lot of space, and enjoys having all the luxuries of home (kitchen, living room, laundry, etc), then this is the spot for you.
We had a two bedroom residence that overlooked the golf course and had two bathrooms, a living room, full kitchen and dining room. My only regret is that we didn't have more time to spend here.
I'm still following the GAPS diet, so a kitchen was a huge plus for me.
Still jet lagged from arriving from Europe, I slept like a brick in this giant bed.
Breakfast
In the morning, we went to breakfast at one of the restaurants. The buffet breakfast was incredible with everything from typical Costa Rican food (I might've eaten my weight in platanos), to freshly squeezed juices, to made-to-order omelettes. It was excellent.
We had some visitors on our patio as I was filming a yoga sequence!
7 Minute Basic Yoga Warm Up
While at the resort, I took advantage of the beautiful scenery and created a 7 minute basic warm up sequence. This is ideal for a morning yoga practice, or to warm up before working out, running, or doing a power yoga practice.
The day's plan
Later on that day, we'd planned on getting everything ready for the retreat and that meant lots of errands to run. Thankfully, Free People, who recently launched their FP Movement line, sent these fantastic sneakers which are super comfortable.
