Hey friends, just checking in from my kitchen on this Wednesday evening, where my dog is enjoying my last bite of broccoli (he is so weird) and pre-washing my dinner plate. I've been buzzing around trying to organize some upcoming events (more on those soon) and I keep checking in over at the YBC Yoga Forum, where the little community is thriving! Feel free to join and once you start posting, enter yourself to win over $200 worth of top-notch yoga gear! Here are five things happening right now over there:
1. How to start moving into more advanced poses and tracking your progression.
After my scorpion pose post, you know I am all about a great progression story.
2. What are your thoughts on studios with mirrors?
I have practiced in studios with and without mirrors and the mirrors never bothered me until I went to Bikram yoga because woof, fluorescent lights and floor to ceiling mirrors when you're huffing and puffing and trying not to keel over and die does nothing for one's self-esteem!
3. How do you maintain your commitment to the yoga practice?
Love this thread because it's filled for ideas for when your inspiration and motivation starts to wane.
4. One member's teacher pointed out that her joints are hyper-mobile and her whole practice shifts.
This is such a great thread because people are writing in with explanations and ideas for how to work with hyper-mobile joints.
5. What poses do you like the least?
You already know my answer: locust. Ugh.
