These baked apples are a healthier dessert option for the holiday season. I did a variation of the recipe in the Gut and Psychology book and they came out so good. Easy to bake, flavorful and sweet, these are something I will definitely make again before the holiday season is over!
Ingredients for Baked Apple Goodness
apples, with the core removed, but leave a little bit of the core at the bottom.
a few cranberries or other dried fruit per apple
1t of honey (I used raw) per apple
1t coconut oil per apple
Directions for Baked Apple Goodness
Fill the apples with coconut oil, then dried fruit, then honey. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Serve immediately.
