Yay! We're back with another 10 Day Namaslay® Instagram Yoga Challenge! This challenge is all about address various fears in the yoga practice, since this month's YBC theme is fear.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - fear is necessary. It's what alerts us of harm. But what we do with the fear we experience is what's most important. These poses may not be particularly physically challenging (corpse pose, I'm lookin' at you!), but as you know, yoga is not just physical. A lot of it is a mental challenge.

Sometimes fear bubbles up in poses you wouldn't even think of (hi, corpse pose!). So as you go through this challenge, just take note of any fear that pops up...or even cousins of fear, like anxiety and stress. You don't really have to do anything with the emotions that bubble up. There's no need to analyze them or anything. Just notice them, and see if you can breathe and let them go. Intend to be an observer of your body and mind as you're in each pose.
I recommend picking up a copy of my book Namaslay, if you haven't already. You can certainly do this challenge without the book, but the book offers detailed explanations for each pose we'll cover, with easy to understand visual alignment cues to help you get the most out of each pose.
The 10 Day Challenge will start this Friday, April 21st. Use the hashtags #namaslayyogis and #ybcyogis, and be sure to tag me in your caption with @yogabycandace so I can find your photo and like it! And feel free to click on the hashtags once you've posted so you can connect with others within the YBC Community and say hey. Feel free to screenshot the image below and use the multi-photo option within your instagram post so others can join in. Can't wait!
