I'm going to be honest. Sometimes I get on the mat to film a video for the YBC YouTube channel and I have no plan - I just let my body do what it needs to do and see where it goes. Because I am fighting off a cold, I initially thought I'd do something more gentle, but the practice just sort of morphed into this back strengthening body sentence.
I could totally be overthinking it, but I sometimes - no, scratch that - I often think our heads get in our way. Sometimes the body just knows what it needs. After this practice was finished I felt a little surge of energy enough to go out for a walk with the pup.
So give it a try, and then maybe at the end challenge yourself to not think, and just let your body do a little yoga dance and see where it takes you.
Let's talk Do you ever feel like your thoughts get in the way of what you really need? What do you do when that happens? Do you recognize it in the moment or afterwards?
