By request, I've got a yoga video on back flexibility today. I'm going to be honest, this was not an easy video to shoot. I was super stiff from our cross-country road trip, and it was so muggy out (Oh, Connecticut!) that by the end of the video I was soaked in sweat. The dog isn't actually in it (except for at the beginning, you'll see him out of focus in the background sniffing around), but he couldn't resist making an appearance for the photo. :)
Anyway, let's get to it. This is for people who are working on their backbend, or who have a tight chest and tight hip flexors and want to open up the front body. If you're really tight, I would suggest a warm up video. The biggest tip I can give for backbends is to always be mindful of the spine. You want to be sure it's long and not compressed. So if you look at the pic above, even though the spine is bending, it's elongated like the letter U, rather than a letter V. Always be mindful of that and you should be good. If you are interested in purchasing this video to have permanently on all your devices you can here. Hope you enjoy.
