Well, we said last week was the last episode - but, in light of recent events we have more to say (and Dan didn’t want to end the season on an odd number). In the season 6 finale of the Namaslay® podcast, we discuss the events of the past week, current state of the country and moving forward. Our discussion includes why the distinction between saying Black Lives Matter vs All Lives Matter is important. We acknowledge the discomfort around conversation about racism in this country, but explain why we have to persist. We also share our thoughts on how to go about reopening our studio, now that we have a reopen date, and how we are feeling in the heightened state of uncertainty as we try to move into a new home.
Season 6, Episode 14 of the Namaslay® podcast is available on iTunes, Google Play, Google Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher, and pretty much anywhere you listen to podcasts. Or, you can also listen here. And if you have a second, would you mind taking this survey? We just want to get some demographics about who's listening to the podcast. Thanks!
This week, we want to share some educational resources to help us better understand the foundation of the Black Lives Matter movement and how we become better allies for equality. It’s by no means a comprehensive list, but it’s a good place to start.
