This week I am gearing up to take off for Italy, so I am spending the week getting posts prepped for next week just in case my internet connection is less than stellar. On the docket today, we've got a thirty minute yoga for straddle splits video by request.

Splits are like handstands, in that so many people want to do them. I'm not particularly open through my hips so I always kind of need my arm twisted to practice them, but I know that the more we practice, the easier it gets, so practice we will.
We'll begin this video with a warm up and then take it hatha style to breathe deeply in each pose to help open up the inner thighs and hips before coming into straddle split practice. You may want to use a yoga block for this practice if you're particularly tight.
