We’re back with another Style Series, and I’m excited to share this blazer I purchased a while back for the holidays. When your comfort zone is sweatshirts and leggings, blazers aren’t even on your radar, but I saw this blazer and couldn’t stop thinking about it. The thousand dollar price tag held me back, but then I stumbled upon this less expensive dupe and snagged it during a 30% off sale, woop!
As I mentioned, my comfort zone is sweatshirts and leggings…and I also rarely do color or texture, so a velvet green blazer left me wondering what to pair it with. My philosophy, when trying a new type of garment, is to keep the rest of the outfit as close to your comfort zone as possible, because otherwise you’ll never wear it. So I paired it with a black tank, comfortable high waist jeans, and booties.
I know I talk about these booties all the time, but they’re seriously the best. I find them to be so comfortable and they truly go with everything. You can wear them with shorts or jeans and dress them up or down. Some looks for less below!
I think the thing that scares me about a blazer is I’m scared I’ll come across too stuffy, so to keep the look from feeling too formal, I put my hair into a top knot, and added a coin necklace that I’ve been wearing since the summer.
The color on this blazer is so so pretty. I love that it’s not like WHAM in your face, bright green, but rather a deep, hunter green that catches the light just right.
Are you into it?! What would you pair it with? Lemme know in the comments below.
