The last time we rolled through with a couch yoga video it was April first. Today's isn't a joke, though, my friends! Today's video is for my people who want a very gentle yoga practice right from the comfort of their couch. In the video, I'm using two of Bhoga's Got Your Back Cushions, which are great because they're dome shaped. This, along with the fact that it is air-filled, is important because it means it really forms to your body and is easily manipulated. It kind of moves with your body in a pliable way - definitely a very cool prop to check out and support.
In this video, we'll start with a bit of pranayama (breathing exercises) just to wake up the lungs and neck and shoulders. Then we'll work through some neck and shoulder stretches. From here, we'll do some gentle twists which are nice for digestion and also just to gently warm up the body, and then we'll work through a nice chest opener before doing this funky snake-like movement for a gentle massage through your back.
