I'm still plugging away at the YBC Book. I have about 15% left to do and then I need to go through the manuscript and choose where I want the lifestyle shots. This has been such a challenging yet creative and fun process for me.
Many of you know that I used to be a Spanish teacher. One of the things I learned in grad school for education was that we work best when we work for the same amount of time as our age, and then take a quick break. So, if you're teaching 15 year olds, they can focus for fifteen solid minutes, and then they need a break to either quickly chat with their friends, or I used to even have my kids stand up and we'd do a minute or two of yoga or stretching. Anyway, being 32, I write the book for about 30 minutes and then I need a break. I'll get up and put the tea water on, and then I'll usually do something totally mindless like play around with accents (it's seriously one of my favorite things to do!), or sing a song, have a little dance party. If I'm feeling tight, I'll do a few minutes of yoga or put on some tunes and have a dance party. Sometimes you just need to get up and move around, you know?! Other times, I'll peruse the sales online, although I haven't purchased anything because I'm trying to save up for my big move (still undecided where I'll go).
Anyway, this morning I'm sharing some ridiculousness from twitter, instagram and snapchat (@yogaby_candace) - things I do when I'm taking a break from the book. This week's posts will be sporatic as I finish up the book but keep checking back, and we'll definitely be back with our regularly scheduled posts next week. Thanks so much for your support! I'd love to hear what you do to keep yourself sane down in the comments below! Do you take a loop around the office? Do you roll out your mat? Have a little dance party? Tell me your ways!

I've been training really hard lately and I am extremely tight. I actually took the whole weekend off to let my body recover, and I think I'll start doing that more often because I feel so good today.
If you've been following on snapchat, you know there have been some health issues in my family. The downside is that health issues suck. The upside is that I got to see my brother who came to Connecticut to visit my parents. I never get to see him, so I was really, really psyched to spend some time with him this weekend.
Just keeping my lip sync game on point.
