Beauty Files is a new series on YBC where we'll share beauty looks and new finds.
If you've been following for a while, you know that I love make up. La-la-love. I just think it's fun to play around with different products. I recently got into lipsticks and they remind me of my sweet grandmother, who never wore any makeup besides lipstick. She was Lebanese with vibrant, olive toned skin and she always looked beautiful to me.
Anyway, I recently received a few different packages and I wanted to share two of the ways I wore some of the products.
Look above: For this look, I used the Jane Iredale Perfectly Nude kit. I used the color cream across the entire lid, and then put the color cappuccino along the crease and used the color antique gold in the outer corner of each eye in a v-shape. I used my favorite highlighter just below the brow and blended the eye color up so it'd kind of fade into the highlighter. I lined my lids with this pencil, which I love because it's really soft and therefore goes on smoothly without having to press very hard. For my brows, I used brow wiz which I just purchased and love. The pencil is really soft, which again, means it goes on smoothly.
I always do my eyes first and then follow up with my skin. For my skin I started with Jane Iredale Face Prep moisturizer. I am picky about moisturizers so I was hesitant about this one but it smells incredible and its lightweight formula leaves skin feeling refreshed and hydrated. I then did my usual foundation and to contour, I used this deep bronzer from Too Faced and this highlighter from Nars. For blush I used Jane Iredale quad bronzer, which they sent to me last week. It gives off a really pretty subtle pink glow when applied with a fan brush. Then for lips I used Jade Iredale saucy PlayOn lip crayon.
For this look I used a new semi-matte lipstick that arrived last week from Nars called Pigalle. It's such a pretty color! It just sort of intensifies the color of my natural lip and I love it. The formula is really nice - it lasts for hours and it's really moisturizing. I used this hot sand/orgasm blush duo and contoured with this and put this illuminating powder on the apples of my cheeks, the bottom center of my forehead and down the center of my nose.
Tata Harper, a 100% natural and non-toxic beauty brand, sent me this purifying mask a few weeks back and if you follow me on snapchat (@yogaby_candace), you know I've been loving it. It is a whipped, lightweight consistency that goes on super smoothly, and I see a visible difference after washing it off, which I think is due to its probiotic properties. If you're in the market for a mask, I highly recommend this one.
