I’m super pumped to share that registration is NOW open for our most popular program - the ongoing Back Strength and Stability Program. This is a foundational strength workout program that I created after herniating a few discs in my back and realizing I needed to get back to basics in order to address the root causes of my issues which were muscle imbalances which resulted in suboptimal movement patterns.
It’s best for people who have either:
Never worked out before and are looking to build foundational strength as injury prevention
Spent years working out only to constantly have low back, neck, shoulder, or hip issues and who want to get back to basics as a supplement to the workouts they already do
This could also be appropriate for people who have herniated discs and who have been told to strengthen their posterior chain and focus on spinal extension rather than spinal flexion. There are modifications for people with active herniations, and modifications offered for people with tweaky joints.
As far as equipment, you’ll need a foam roller, set of resistance bands, a set of dumbbells (any weight), and a set of sliders.
The program should take you an hour in full, but you can break it up and do the foam rolling portions in the morning and evening and let the bulk of the workouts happen in the middle of the day. The purpose of the program is to build foundational strength through the core, back, legs and glutes, teach you about movement and posture, and mindfulness so you understand how your positioning in your activities of daily living may be impacting how you feel. You’ll also learn how to assess your posture and identify where your muscle imbalances are.
How does the Back Program Work?
The program is subscription based. You’ll be charged when you first subscribe during the one week registration period, and the program will be emailed to you on February 9, 2021. You’ll be charged again five weeks later unless you unsubscribe in that time frame. The program changes every 6 weeks, so you’ll be getting a new program every 6 weeks (and charged for it every 5).
Why do you change the Back Program every 6 weeks?
Because typically, when people are experiencing chronic pain - whether in the back, hips, or neck - it’s usually from muscle imbalance and suboptimal movement patterns. Let’s say you’re 35 and you’re experiencing chronic low back pain. The root cause could be your posture and lack of core and glute strength. You’ve likely suffered from these muscle imbalances for decades, so it’ll take time, consistency, and an intentional movement practice to help or completely correct these issues. We don’t want to just do the same few core and glute movements forever - 6 weeks is just the right amount of time before it’s time to switch it up with new movements. It’s important to keep the body challenged by doing different exercises, and moving in different planes or motion.
What options are there for the subscription?
You have two options.
1) $34.99 - This will give you the program and access to our private Facebook group for accountability and support from the group. Candace will also chime in if you have a quick question.
2) $44.99 - This will give you the program, access to our private Facebook group, and a mid-point check-in zoom call with Candace and the others in this tier. During the call she will address any specific questions you have on the program/your form/pretty much anything, and then she’ll give a little mini lecture, and then coach you through a workout. During this workout, you’ll get feedback on your movement, and tips for how to move more optimally. It’s a great way to have a personal trainer’s expert eye on your movements.
Registration closes on February 8, so sign up NOW!
