Disclaimer: This post is brought to you by iHerb, a company I’ve loved and used for years. Thanks for supporting the companies that support YBC®.
If you’ve been following along for a while, you know that due to COVID-19, I had to close my boutique yoga and fitness studio for a few months. We got the green light to open up a few weeks ago, but I started slowly with one to one sessions. This week, we’ll be reopening, and I’m looking forward to reconnecting with my community as safely as possible.
With safety at the forefront of my mind, I thought strategically about how to open up by reading our state’s guidelines, which include recommendations for wearing a mask while entering a business, offering hand sanitizer, and thoroughly cleaning the space throughout the day.
Masks help keep you and those around you protected, can help prevent you from touching your face, and are a good visual reminder to practice social distancing. I got mine from iHerb, a company I’ve supported for years due to their huge inventory (over 30,000 natural products), excellent customer service (available 24/7 and in ten languages), and they ship to over 150 countries! I got the Kosette Nano Reusable Mask and the Tony Moly KN95 Respirator Masks.
The first mask I tried was the Kosette Nano Reusable Mask. It’s got a soft mesh inner layer, three layers of mesh between, a nano filter, and a comfortable, breathable outer layer. I also love that you can adjust the ears! That is such a game changer because I kind of have a small face, so regular masks are generally a bit too big. The adjustment here allows it to be snug.
I love that it’s reusable and you can simply hand wash it and line dry. I find it really comfortable, and breathable, and you can generally find me wearing it like I was here, cleaning equipment - something I do multiple times per day in an effort to keep everyone safe.
The next mask I tried was the KN95 Respirator Mask. It comes in a pack of five, and I keep them in my car so that in the off chance that I run out the door forgetting my reusable mask (which I keep in my purse), I’ll always have one on hand. Here I am setting up for a personal training session.
I found it super comfortable because it’s really lightweight - you can barely feel it’s there. With the pandemic happening, I’ve become used to understanding that things generally will take longer to ship, but I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly my iHerb order arrived! These masks took only a few days to arrive at my doorstep.
This new normal is pretty different from what we are used to, but I’m trying to embrace the change, stay positive, keep everything as clean as possible, and wear a mask in public.
