Disclaimer: This post is brought to you by iHerb, a company I’ve been using and loving for years. Thanks for supporting the companies that support YBC®.
I’ve been a customer of iHerb for years, and I love them for their 24/7 customer service (in 10 different languages!), ease in shopping and product search (they carry over 30,000 natural products). I used them when I lived abroad (they ship to over 150 countries), and I use them even now when I live in the states (their shipping is always so fast for me and it’s always worry-free since they ship from a climate-controlled distribution center!). So when I had the opportunity to partner up with them for this post, it was a no-brainer because one of the other things I love about the company is their discount program. New and returning customers can earn a discount off their iHerb order with no minimum purchase by clicking here.
One of the most frequently asked questions I get is what supplements I take. As a health nut, you know I am all about trying to live my best life. Today, I’m sharing the six supplements I take that help with total overall health.
1. Collagen Protein Peptides: If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that I’ve been singing the praises of collagen for literal years. I use it in my coffee, as shown up above, and also in my smoothies. You can’t taste it at all, but it does wonders for your hair, skin and nails. In fact, it helped my hair grow so much that at a recent trip to my stylist, she actually took out a measuring tape because she couldn’t believe how long it had grown!
2.& 3. Ultimate Flora® Probiotic for Men and Women - Men and women need different things, so we have been using the RenewLife brand probiotics. Probiotics can be excellent for adding healthy bacteria to your gut, thereby helping with things like digestion and bloating. And since the gut is considered the second brain, having great gut health may be helpful to your overall mental health as well.
4. Magnesium Supplement - Magnesium has many benefits from relaxation to muscle restoration (that’s one of the reasons it’s often the main ingredient in bath soaks). But for those of us who don’t have time to soak in a bath and just want something quick and easy, Natural Calm comes to the rescue. It’s so simple to use - just put it in hot water and drink. I’d suggest drinking it before bed, because it really helps you to fall asleep!
5. Fish Oil - Fish oil contains essential fatty acids that may be helpful with things like lowering blood pressure, and preventing and managing heart disease issues. I’ve been taking it for years, and one of the tips I’ve learned along the way is to keep it in your freezer - it reduces any fish aftertaste!
6. Women’s One - If you’re looking for a good once-a-day multivitamin, this one is the one to try. Made with fruits, veggies and probiotics, it’s got digestive support, a women’s vitality blend, and a bunch of vitamins and minerals - basically, everything you need to feel like your best self.
I’d love to hear what supplements you’re using these days! Let me know in the comments section below!
