I must be living under a rock because I only heard about Thrive Market while at our Maine Yoga and Gut Healing retreat this past month. Fairy Gutmother is so knowledgable and I learned so much from her (our next Yoga and Gut Healing retreat will be this fall!), including not only nutrition and gut-healing tips, but also about new places to source high quality foods. Enter Thrive Market.
Our swag bags at the retreat came with a little gift from Thrive Market, so I got to try it out for one month for free. Thrive Market offers the best-selling natural and organic products at wholesale prices through a $60/year membership. Think Costco meets Whole Foods online, and for every paid membership Thrive donates one membership to a low-income American family. You can shop by your values (ie Paleo, Vegan, Raw, etc), and all orders over $49 are shipped free.
So, you guys know me by now. I like to nerd out on gut-healing info, and one of the things Fairy Gutmother has taught me is to vary the fats you cook with, so because things like ghee and high quality lard (omg am I seriously writing a blog post on lard?! haha) are so expensive at my local Whole Foods that was my number one mission when I landed on the Thrive Market homepage. I'm psyched to say that not only did I find some new, good fats to cook with, but I also stumbled upon a couple other interesting things I wanted to try. Check out the video below to see what I got. And I'd love to know - have you tried Thrive? If so, are there any staples that you pick up from there?
