PSA: Major Black Friday sales are going on and I'll be sharing my picks soon, so keep checking back for those, as I'll be updating them frequently! Don't forget you can now shop the Namaslay® store 24/7. Everything from the secret message beeswax candles to the notebook is handmade in the USA. Also, if you DM a screenshot of your Amazon or Barnes and Noble review of Namaslay to @ybcsneakpeek, we will send you a free gift! Lastly, upcoming summer retreats include Santorini, Greece and a Kenya safari yoga retreat.
In today's short sequence we'll be focusing on the inner thighs and outer hips. Many people have a love/hate relationship with pigeon pose, so be mindful and remember to breathe through discomfort, but back off if you feel actual pain. As always, I'll be posting the audio to the YBC App (iTunes/Google Play) if you'd prefer I talk you through the sequence (it takes about 10 minutes or so), so look for that today as well!
If you have your copy of Namaslay, I've detailed the page numbers of the poses below in case you'd like to read more about each pose.
A) To start, do this warm up.
B) Then, do the following sequence:
1) Cobbler's pose (p88-89 in Namaslay).
2) and 3) Pigeon pose (p96-97 in Namaslay).
4) Downward dog (p100-104 in Namaslay).
C) Practice your chosen pose for 3-5 minutes and then take a quick pic for the 'gram to share your progress and thoughts so far. Use hashtags #ybcyogis and #Namaslay to connect with others doing the program.
Let me know how you'll be enjoying the day down below in the comments!
