Hello from gloomy Connecticut. Womp womp, haha. I do kind of enjoy a grey day once in a while, actually. I have a chicken broth going in the crock pot and made some butternut squash last night with cinnamon and ginger so my house is smelling like fall, although I will be packing up and heading to Miami first thing tomorrow for a photoshoot and to attend YJ Live.
Today I wanted to share a quick five minute warm up video I shot in Costa Rica before our students arrived to the retreat. It was so peaceful and so beautiful there that despite the heat I felt like I needed to mic up and get something on film just for a change of scenery for all of those who practice with the YBC channel. We are planning our 2016 events, so if you'd like to perhaps join in on a retreat or have us stop by in your city on our book tour, feel free to let us know here.
In this video, we'll start with some cat/cow poses, go into downward dog, work on the hamstrings with rag doll, open up the chest and upper back with a fun variation of cobras and open up the shoulders, hips and chest with bound malasana. Give this a try, and let me know how it goes down in the comments below. And don't forget, you can make a video request on the Yoga Forum!
