Happy Monday, everyone! My weekend was pretty laid back which was nice because I'm traveling for most of this week. Our air quality got a bit better with the some new succulents (did you know they're good for purifying the air? I had no idea!) and now I'm trying to learn as much as I can about them so I don't kill them. Keeping plants alive is not my strong suit. I never know when to water them or how much water to give them. If you're a succulent expert, I'd love your tips!
My gym is an hour and fifteen minutes away from my house. I know. So I haven't been going as often as I would like. Instead, each weekend I've been taking advantage of the weather and doing some hiit workouts outside. I usually do about 30 minutes or so at a park, and will do short sprints, T drills, plyometric stuff using benches, etc. I used to be skeptical of hiit workouts but if you do them right you can work up a good sweat! Every once in a while (when the people who live below me are at work (my floors are old and creaky)), I'll do one of these youtube hiit workouts.
I was also so pumped to get in two personal practices as well. I've been so busy lately that I haven't been practicing as much as I would like so it felt fantastic to get back on the mat and just do my thing. This yoga practice is from this morning, after our walk (which is why Buckles can barely keep his eyes open).
This weekend I also got a little work done since I'll be away from home for the week. And this brings me to my next bit, and I thank you for sticking around thus far because I know this is a snooze fest on the Interesting Scale.
Housekeeping

October 5 - 11, 2014 in Sifnos, Greece: A luxury retreat at a boutique hotel overlooking the Aegean Sea.
October 18 - 24, 2014 in Ibiza, Spain: A luxury retreat at a private Spanish finca and close to the beach.
November 6 - 11, 2014 in Tamarindo, Costa Rica: A luxury retreat at a private villa in the jungle and close to the beach.
Plans for the future: I have some cool events on my radar. Please let me know if you're interested in any of them so I can email you the details as soon as they become available.
November: A pop-up yoga class in Miami and Jacksonville, Florida.
Winter, an urban weekend yoga retreat in Europe: Location to be determined, but looking at a few different cities for weekend urban retreat. Picturing a fabulous hotel with tons of amenities in a fantastic city so people could either hang out at the spa or explore the town between yoga classes. Doesn't that sound like fun?
April: Tentatively putting the feelers out for a New England long weekend retreat. Something really cozy and nourishing for the soul.
Plans for YBC: I've got this great idea for a video yoga package that I'd like to offer. I don't want to give too many details right now but I am putting it down here because then I'll be held accountable. :)
Goal: My number one goal with YBC is to help people who are on their yoga journey, whether that's offering tips either in person or through the blog, sharing my own stories in the Confessions series, or offering inspiration if you've hit a plateau.
If you have a sec, I would be grateful if you'd fill out the form below. It'll help me get a better idea of who is reading, and what's most helpful.
Feedback from Students & Clients
Coming from a teaching background, I'm always interested in how I did and how I can improve. If you've ordered a custom yoga DVD from me or have attended a retreat, workshop or class with me, I'd be so grateful for your feedback here and/or here.
Thanks so much for your continued support.
Let's talk How was your weekend? What've you got planned for the week ahead? Any ideas or anything you want to share about YBC?
