Hope all my Americans had a great 4th of July weekend! This was our last weekend in LA and we decided to be super lazy and just relax before the craziness of driving across the country begins later this week.
We started the weekend off at the park where I played around with some arm balances - really making a lot of progress with my handstand (finally!), and my scorpion pose is slowly coming along, too.
On our way back home, I spotted this little massage place called Wadee that offered first time and early bird massage rates of $39. I hadn't had one all summer, so I popped in. My lady was gooood! I had a Swedish massage, but she also incorporated some Thai massage techniques and basically I walked outta there on a cloud. Love that. I highly recommend Wadee in West Hollywood if you're looking for a quality, yet relatively inexpensive massage.
Later in the day, we made our way over to Brentwood, where I had been dying to take Greg since I taught at the local Free People store the previous week. Brentwood has such a great small town vibe. We brought the pup and explored the area, stopping for a bite to eat at Farmshop.
Going out to eat while on the GAPS diet is tough, but I was stuh-HARV-ing, so I picked the most GAPS-friendly foods I could find, which ended up being grilled salmon (grilled with ghee, yeah!), and a beet salad.
On Sunday, we ran some errands and I popped into Club Monaco where I tried to relive my sixth grade days of overalls and Birkenstocks. I still want those Birkenstocks, but let's just say I remember overalls being cuter on my sixth grade self. Ah well.
In other news, I had lobster for the first time ever. I was underwhelmed. It was good, but I don't know, not great - maybe because it was served chilled on my salad.
Overall, it was one of the best weekends we had in LA, and we're ready to tackle approximately four hundred errands and appointments Monday and Tuesday before leaving for the east coast on Wednesday!
