Hello from Dubai! It's been a long day of travel, but I have to say, of all the travel I've done in the past, today's was by far the easiest. (Definitely the exact opposite of the flight I took where someone threw up on me.) It's about a six hour flight from Germany to Dubai. I first flew to Frankfurt, and had a couple hours before my flight to Dubai. I was lucky enough to be flying first, and took full advantage of the perks by heading over to the first class Lufthansa terminal. I loaded up on English magazines (because they're nearly $15 dollars each in Germany!), and laid down for a bit in one of the relaxation rooms. When it came time to board, the process was quick and efficient. I settled right in with a cup of peppermint tea and started The Way Way Back with Steve Carrell (it was good!) and watched a bit of Home Alone before climbing into the bed and relaxing with a book. Hands down the best flight I've ever been on.
And just when I thought it couldn't get any better, it did. Upon landing we were whisked off the plane, driven to customs, had no line, and my bags came out right away. I was out of the airport less than fifteen minutes after landing. How great is that?! Usually customs takes forever!
What's the best flight you've ever been on?
I'm so excited to be here! Can't wait to explore tomorrow morning! I'll be teaching at the Dubai Yoga Festival later this week- if you're local, you should come!
