Good morning, friends! If you're subscribed to our newsletter you know that I've been battling a serious case of food poisoning going on four days now. Woof. Since I try to look for a silver lining everywhere, the only up side I can find is suddenly seeing some abs since I'm pretty dehydrated and unable to keep anything down...but, not a recommended way to get a six pack! Ha! I am starting to feel slightly better, I think, so hopefully today will be a better day than the last few.
Anyway, I tell you all this because yesterday I realized I needed to shoot the app video and going outside to shoot was miserable. I felt like I was going to pass out in that heat and it was the most activity I'd had in days. Sigh. #bloglifeproblems jk jk, it's all good.
I do love how the video turned out, though, and I'm hopeful that it'll give you a good run down of how to use the app. I particularly like the instagram-like feature in the app's forum because it's so fun to see who our community is and what they're up to. I also love that you can "favorite" any videos or posts you want and they'll be added to your favorites list so you don't have to search like a mad woman (or man!) when you're ready to practice.
The app, which is available for iPhone and Android users, is also now available for download on the iPad, you just need to make sure you're searching "iPhone only" when you look for it.
I hope this video helps to answer any questions. If you have any comments, questions, or feedback, please feel free to leave your thoughts down in the comments below and I'll be happy to answer if I can. Also, if you've tried the app out, I'd love for you to leave a review in the App Store.
I want to take a second to publicly thank Lauren, YBC's Marketing and Events Director, who really pushed me to do this app. I'm going to expand on this more in our Business of Blogging series, but the bottom line is this: Your company is only as strong as your team, and I have, without a doubt, the best team. Thank you, Lauren. This never would've happened without you. And huge thank you to Greg, who does all of YBC's photos and videography.
As a way to say thank you, I'd like to send one lucky person a gift. This healthy living gift contains some of my favorite products from the health and fitness industries (and don't worry, none of the products seen here are in the upcoming mantra box if you've pre-ordered one). One person will receive:
a clutch/make up bag
To enter the giveaway
This giveaway is open worldwide*. To enter, just download the app, and let people know on your social media platform of choice with the hashtag #YBCapp and a tag to @yogabycandace. Take a screenshot of the post and put it in the comments below. If you post across multiple platforms, post multiple comments on this post. (For example, if you post about it on instagram and on Facebook, you'll leave two separate comments on this post - one with a screenshot of your instagram post and one with a screenshot of your Facebook post). Please note that for whatever reason, people sometimes get a message saying their screenshot didn't post. I promise you it did. I don't know why it does that, but if you've posted it and it's not showing up, refresh your page or wait a little bit and check back. There seems to be a slight delay in showing the posts, but they always show up. Then, use the rafflecopter widget below to let us know you entered. By entering the giveaway, you'll be added to our weekly newsletter which goes out every Sunday. A winner will be picked by random next Monday.
