Well hello, Friday! You are looking mighty good today! It has been a really, really long week for me so I'm looking forward to a rest day on Saturday and then Sunday I'll be spending the day with family for Easter. Feel free to sign up for the YBC weekend newsletter (goes out every Sunday), if you want to stay in touch. And if you're local to Hartford, CT and would like to attend some classes, please fill this out.
Ok let's get to the good stuff. I'm super psyched about this month's yoga project. Hip opening is something I could always use, and after a month of handstand work for the balance project, my upper body could use a little break.
In today's video there are a lot of firsts - first hips video for #YBChips, first shoot in the new HQ and first time using a mic for yoga videos. I think the mic wasn't placed in the right spot so I'll have to play with that and make it better for next time. The mic saves me a ton of time since I don't have to do the voiceover in editing, so I'm excited to have that though I will admit to being really self conscious using it for the first time!
Today's video (preview above) is a fifteen minute yoga practice that's perfect for after work. It starts off slow, so there's no need for a warm up unless you're crazy stiff, and then we move into a nice little hip opening flow that works the hamstrings, hip flexors, inner thighs and psoas. I hope you love. xo
