A few weeks ago I received an opportunity to work with Kohl's for their #MakeYourMove campaign, which is all about making little changes in ares of your life where you'd like to see improvement. With spring well underway, it seemed like the perfect time to set new goals for myself and I'd like to invite you to do the same.
This spring, I want to focus on:
- better maintaining my stress levels in both work and my personal life. With all the travel I have coming up over the next five weeks or so I'll have a lot of opportunities to work on this, haha!
- maintaining my personal yoga practice - Being based in Europe for the majority of the last few years, it feels so nice to be back in the US where there are studios around every corner. I'm a yoga student first, and the other week a friend invited me to join him for a class. It felt great to get back on the mat and just be a student and I definitely want to do more of that. I want to branch out and explore different teachers, styles of yoga, and challenge myself more because I think the best teachers are the ones that are constantly learning and absorbing more and more info they can share with their students.
- take care of myself better: sleep more, and take time to do the things I love (read more, make an effort to get out of the house more and meet up with friends (I'm sort of an extroverted introvert, if that makes any sense). I've been really focused lately on growing my business, so I start each day in the office at 6:30am or so, and end each day around 10:00pm at least, only really stopping for a quick bites to eat and a late afternoon gym sesh. Since YBC is the only source of income right now for us, I know it's important to grow, but I do think it's equally important to take time out for myself just to have a little break now and then.
Everyone's got something going on in their lives, so if you feel like you'd like to join in me in making a few changes for the better, let me know in the comments below. What goals will you set for yourself to lead a happier, healthier life to #MakeYourMove?
