PSA: Looking to get away? There are two spots left at our Kenya Safari Yoga Retreat this summer, and a handful at our Namaslay Italy Yoga Retreat this spring!
In today's Beauty Files post, I'm sharing a daytime purple smokey eye make up tutorial. Hope you love!
Let me start off by stating the obvious - your girl's not a make up artist. I'm just a girl who la-la-loves make up, and loves playing around with it. I'll often do my friends' make up before we go out just because it's fun, but other than that, my skillz are nothin' special. There are definitely better tutorials out there, but if you're someone who is new to make up and would like to give it a try, this should be helpful. Hope you enjoy.
Months ago, Pacifica sent me the Power of Love palette to try - a 100% vegan, cruelty-free coconut-infused mineral eye shadow palette that's got a nice range of purple-hued neutrals for endless possibilities. The colors aren't extremely pigmented, which means this is a good palette for people who are more comfortable with semi-sheer colors rather than something dark and dramatic. I am more of a dark/dramatic lover, but this palette made for a pretty daytime look.
I also used this paint pot as a primer and used the following brushes for the application:
1. The first one is what I used to blend the colors under the lower lash line.
2. The second one here is for the blending.
3. The third one is what I used just under my lower lash line.
I hope you guys enjoyed this tutorial! I hope to doing more in the future, so if you have any special requests, just let me know in the comments section below!
