I got back super late last night from the best weekend in London. I was in town to teach two workshops and it was such a great trip. The studio was a gorgeous space, the hotel where I stayed was fabulous, and the people I met were kind and warm. It couldn't have been better! Here are a few pics, if you'd like to see.
I snapped this before the class started. The blindfolded yoga class was centered around a theme about trusting yourself, so I planned to use props toward the end for heart-opening yin poses.
I stayed at the beautiful Marylebone Hotel (review coming soon), and indulged each morning with the most unreal Darjeeling tea and read the International New York Times cover to cover, followed by a detox bath with a mineral bath packet and lemon essential oil.
I traveled with just a carry-on but brought basically nothing because I wanted to hit up Sweaty Betty, a high-end fitness clothing brand that's been getting a lot of buzz in recent years. I was impressed in some areas and disappointed in others (review coming soon), but scooped up a couple of pieces, including the top seen here, and it passed the workout test with flying colors at the The Third Space gym.
Indaba Yoga, the studio where I taught, had such a great set up. They had an entire wall of fliers about guest teachers, and lots of yoga clothing, books, incense, candles and tea for sale.
I had a great time walking around Marylebone area. There are so many cute shops, cafes and restaurants. And the people watching is pretty great, too.
It was such a fantastic trip and my only complaint is that it was too short! Thanks to everyone who came to the workshops - it was so nice to meet you! Can't wait to be back!
Let's talk Have you ever been to London? Any highlights you want to share?
PS- If you came to a workshop (or even one in the past), I'd love to hear your feedback.
