If you're looking to up your inversion game but aren't up for trying headstands anytime soon, this should be your next go-to. Shoulder stand is one of the most beneficial poses you can do. It's really a total body pose, as it may improve digestion, immune system, circulation, and strengthen the upper body. It's not recommended for anyone with neck issues, though - so be mindful of that.
To come into it, just start on your back laying down, and then kick your feet up and wiggle your arms into place. Voila! Breathe 5-7 deep breaths here (or more, if you're feeling good) and you can counter with fish pose afterwards, if you're up for it.
Hey! In the comments section below, let me know what pose you'd like to see broken down. I'd love to help!
Also, (unrelated, but awesome) - I'm happy to announce I've become a Wellicious ambassador. Wellicious is a London-based eco-friendly lifestyle brand that produces great yoga clothing. Even more exciting is that we're planning a weekend of yoga fun in August for all my London people! Can't wait to share details.
