We'll save the full (and much more challenging) version of locust pose for another day and focus on a version more appropriate for all levels. Make sure to do a little warm up and then try this pose. It really works the back body muscles. Do this a few times, breathing 10-12 breaths each time and your back will surely feel it the next day! But besides that, what I love about it is how it makes me feel. It's a little backbend, so it's energizing and definitely a feel-good pose (at least for me). The trick to this pose is to lengthen from the top of the head all the way through the toes, especially focusing on not crunching the low back. Fully breathe to help ensure the body stays long.
After you try it out, let me know what you think. Is it a top favorite on your list?
PS- More yoga poses.
