Note: This is not a sponsored post.

There was much internal debate about what to wear for the filming of Sweat (now available for pre-order). My checklist was simple: something form-fitting so viewers could see the subtle yet important movements, something bright to offset the black pants I'd be wearing, and something that would stay put as I moved through the vinyasa.

I wound up choosing the Lululemon Cool Racerback. Here's the run down:

PROS It's well made. You can pull at it, and it doesn't lose its shape. The stitching and material are stretchy so you can move freely without restriction. It is clingy (that's a personal preference, but a definite benefit when shooting an instructional video) but not uncomfortable. And most importantly, it doesn't move when you go upside down (as demonstrated below).

CONS It is a whopping $42.00, which to me seems outrageous considering most of the time I just do yoga in my $1.80 tank tops from Forever21. (I would've worn one of those tanks but they ride up and I constantly have to adjust them. You get what you pay for?)

VERDICT It's great for what it is, but I won't be buying another one just to practice in. Maybe if I make another dvd, but otherwise I think I'll stick to my cheap tank tops.

On Sports Bras for Yoga

The last yoga gear post I did was about toe socks, a clothing item that one surely does not need, per say, but one from which you will certainly benefit. This post, however, is about sports bras, which are much more of a necessity than the toe socks. :)

When it comes to yoga gear, I love most lululemon products, but I find their sports bras just don't work for me. They're too tight around the ribs and too loose in the cups or vise versa. To top it off, they start at around $42.00, so if there's a better fitting, cheaper option I'll take it.

Turns out, there is. And I found it at the most unlikely of places - Target.

The seamless C9 by Champion sports bra has a four-way stretch, adjustable straps and is extremely comfortable. It offers light to medium support- perfect for yoga. The best part is that they're $16.99 and come in an assortment of on-trend colors.

Try one out and let me know what you think! In the meantime, what sports bra do you love for yoga?
