Costa Rica Yoga and Surf Retreat

Yoga and adventure retreat in Costa Rica

Yoga and adventure retreat in Costa Rica

It's no secret that I love Costa Rica - the food, the people, the beaches, the jungles - it's just the best. Our last Costa Rica retreat was so amazing that I'm excited to be heading back in April and I'd love for you to come.

A yoga and adventure retreat in Costa Rica

This will be a trip of a lifetime! It's an opportunity for those who love to explore and really see the world. It's for the people who crave authenticity and who want to break out of their shell a bit. This is a trip about getting out of our comfort zones, something I am really trying to focus on this year. We'll experience one-of-a-kind yoga workshops like glow in the dark yoga (only we'll be in the rainforest). We'll meditate. We'll see the beaches and the jungle. We'll go to a volcano. We'll surf. We'll zipline through the rainforest. We'll eat incredible food. It's going to be a blast.

When: April 16 - 21, 2015

The Yoga and Adventure Retreat Plan: We'll divide our time between the beach and the jungle. For the first part of the week, we'll be close to Tamarindo Beach, where our surf lessons will be held. We'll have daily yoga practice and daily surf lessons, and in the middle of the week, we'll make our way to La Fortuna area, where we will spend a few days zip-lining, hiking the volcano, and horseback riding. As always, everything is optional. This is your time, so whatever you need to do to feel good, do that. Don't feel like surfing? No problem. Would rather take a nap than go horseback riding? That is totally fine. The most important thing for me is that people listen to their bodies, and do what they need to do in order to feel their best.

The Yoga Program: The yoga program will complement the activities we have planned. We'll balance out a day of surfing with a nice, long, hip opening workshop. We'll balance out a day of travel with an energizing, heart-opening yoga flow. We'll go over the basics of foundations to ensure that our alignment is on point and then we'll explore fun arm balances for beginners, and new ways to take the practice to different levels with blindfolded yoga and a glow in the dark practice. All levels are welcome, from the total beginner to the seasoned yoga student. The yoga program is comprehensive, with meditation and pranayama at each class.
