My favorite gifts for Mother's day and Father's day are things that you can actually do together. A few years ago I went golfing with my dad. I wasn't half bad, surprisingly, and we had a good time. That was the inspiration behind the boxing glove idea below. This year, my dad's in Connecticut and I'm in California, so I put together a few other gifts I know my he'd like, and we'll do something together when I get back on the east coast later this summer. What do you usually do for Valentine's day? We always try to do something fun together that we wouldn't normally do, and we usually exchange a thoughtful gift or two- nothing extravagant, and make a meal together. Last week, however, my husband said he had something planned already (What?! This is the guy who rarely remembers any holidays), so I'm excited (and nervous) to see what's on the agenda. Just a few more weeks! In the meantime, here are some little gifts at all price points that I think are sweet, though maybe not totally romantic (car starter, I'm lookin' at you!).
